Sleep really well and start the new day refreshed – in order to enable your guests to do this, you need not only a good mattress but also a suitable slatted frame. Made from first-class materials and with a carefully thought-out structure, we offer different slatted frames to suit different requirements and needs. Why are slatted frames so important, what different types are there and what the terminology in the structure means? We answer the most important questions on the topic.
The slatted frame: the basis for a perfect lying feeling
Importance of the slatted frame
Not visible at first glance and yet essential for sleeping comfort: Because the slatted frame supports the mattress in its function of relieving the spine so that the body can regenerate optimally during the night. Balanced lying comfort is achieved when the right combination of slatted frame and mattress is selected. The mattress is relieved and the differently springy zones adapt to the body individually. It is crucial that the body receives the necessary support in every sleeping position - whether lying on your stomach, back or side - and that the spine can form a horizontal line. Only in this way can the back muscles relax sufficiently and a healthy, back-friendly sleep is guaranteed. In addition, the slatted frame ensures good ventilation of your hotel bed and allows the mattress to "breathe", so that a pleasant sleeping climate is provided. In addition, moisture is drained downwards and mold formation is prevented.
Which slatted frames are available from SYMPHONIC?
SYMPHONIC offers fixed and adjustable slatted frames to suit different sleep requirements:
Fixed slatted frame:
The basic version is the fixed slatted frame, also called rigid slatted frame. That doesn't mean it doesn't offer customization options. The important shoulder and pelvic area is also adjustable here. Waisted slats in the shoulder area and an individual degree of hardness adjustment in the pelvic area ensure flexibility. The body can sink in exactly the right places and is optimally supported. The stable wooden frame, supporting double slats and elastic rubber elements in which the slats lie ensure long-lasting sleeping comfort for your guests.
Slatted frame with head and foot elevation:
Would you like your guests to be more mobile? Slatted frames are particularly flexible where the headboard can be raised and the legs can be put up at the same time. Head and feet are quickly brought into the desired position and an individual lying position is achieved. In addition, tapered slats in the shoulder zone adapt optimally to the body and provide the best possible support. In the central area, an individual degree of hardness adjustment in the pelvic comfort zone ensures personal adaptability. The firmness of the slatted frame can be infinitely adjusted according to personal preference.
What is a plywood frame and triple center chord?
The slats of the grate are made of beech slats. Laminated wood, i.e. a wood material made of several layers of wood glued together, is used for these spring wood slats. What advantages do these plywood slats offer? The layers are joined together parallel to the fibers in order to increase the elasticity of the wood. In addition, the spring wood slats are given a slightly curved shape using superheated steam. Foiled slats also have an attractive appearance and also ensure that the slatted frame does not attract too much dust.
The triple central belt is a fabric band that connects the individual spring slats together in the middle. Running lengthwise right down the middle of the frame, the slats are “laced together”. And the effect? Stabilizing, because weight and pressure are distributed evenly and the body's resilience is increased.
When is it time to replace the slatted frame?
The durability of a slatted frame depends on the quality of the materials and careful processing on the one hand and the mechanical stress on the other. If individual slats have broken through or are no longer curved, the suspension is missing and the slatted frame must be replaced. If the frame itself has cracks or breaks, or if the rubber caps at the end of the bars are damaged, stability is lost. Here, too, we recommend an exchange.
