A look behind the scenes: This is how Symphonic creates made-to-measure furniture

"Close cooperation in the team and with our customers is the basis of every project," explains Philip Jandrisits, Managing Director at Symphonic, emphasizing the essential feature of the Austrian operation. This is linked to the implementation of individual projects for hotels and objects. Pieces of furniture are tailored according to personal ideas and needs and produced in an environmentally friendly way. Both internal and external designers, internal product development teams and creative minds from field service and sales are behind the creation of the furniture. Due to the interdisciplinary cooperation in-house, existing knowledge is continuously enriched in order to achieve maximum perspective and product diversity combined with innovative strength and many years of experience.

In the production process, everything begins with the careful selection of high-quality types of wood. With skilful craftsmanship and a focused eye, wooden panels are cut to fit perfectly. This is followed by milling, painting with water-soluble paints and finishing with stains and oils. This process ensures evenness and longevity. For the frame construction, the adapted wood and solid parts are assembled by hand. Special equipment features and functions such as neck supports, pull-out bench, sleeping function, storage space or bed function are integrated by fitters.

Next, the foam, which is delivered as a block, is divided into qualities according to density or compression hardness, and then cut to size using modern machines. The frame and the plastic are fixed with water-soluble glue. This is followed by the selection of exquisite fabrics, which are purchased, cut and later sewn. In-house customer fabrics can also be processed individually. During the subsequent wallpapering work, the fabric is joined to the frame and the foam. Finally, a strict quality control is carried out in-house before the furniture is packed and shipped by truck.

With a look behind the scenes, the progressive history of the origin of each individual piece of furniture at Symphonic becomes comprehensible - our high-quality pieces of furniture are created through the interaction of individual components. Similar to a symphony, in which the various factors and influences play together for the total work of art.
